Failure to be registered prior to playing will cause any games in which they participated in to be forfeited.
- The minimum age for a player is 18 years old. It is up to Team Captain to monitor that there will be no under age drinking. Immediate termination from the league will result from this offense.
- Team rosters may be changed or added to (by verbal submission) to the statistical secretary and at least 24 hours prior to the next scheduled match. No roster changes may be made during the last 4 (four) regularly scheduled league nights of the season.

Trophies will only be awarded to the people on the official team roster at the end of the season. Any player dropped from a team’s roster will not be eligible to join another team until the next league season.
ITEM V FORFEITS
- A forfeit will be declared for a team’s failure to attend a scheduled match without having made arrangements to reschedule. The points for the match forfeited will be equal to the average number of points earned by the team awarded the forfeit, provided that team has a minimum of 2 players present and all team members who are present sign the score sheet.
- A forfeit will be declared for using a registered player’s name for another player. In this case, those games played will be forfeited.
- A match must be played with 2 or more players, but not less. When a particular game is announced and the announced player is not present or ready, that particular game will be forfeited. If both teams do not have at least 2 players, it will be declared a double forfeit and no points will be awarded to either team.
- A team having at least 2 players but unable to field a full team will forfeit the respective number of points for each game not played. For doubles and team events, the team will miss one turn for each missing player in each round of play.
- Any team forfeiting a match 2 (two) weeks in a row will be dropped from the league. All league dues and membership fees will be forfeited. ALL POINTS and ASP’s will be removed from the standing sheet. Any T80, high score, High On or Off shot by an opposing team member will remain on the standing sheet.
- One forfeiture during league play will be subject to investigation by officers of the league. All members of the forfeiting team will exempt on a case by case bases from disbarment. Any members that are barred on the forfeiting team will loose all season points won. This is unsportsmanlike conduct and will not be tolerated by the N.F.D.L.
ITEM VI SCORING
- A diddle will be used to determine which team shoots first in each match. Visitor has choice of who diddles first. The player who diddles does not have to be the first person who shoots in a team or doubles match.
- Scoring may be done by a chalker or by the players themselves. If a chalker is used, the chalker must not stand as to distract the shooters. All participating in the match must agree to the use of a chalker.
- Each team will be responsible for the entry and verification of entries made on the match report sheet by the “score recorder”. The “score recorder” can be anyone designated by either team as long as both team captains are in agreement with the choice. The match report sheet must be signed by both team captains at the end of the match.
- The score for each round of darts must be recorded prior to removing the darts from the board to allow verification of the score by the opponent. Any darts pulled from the board prior to the recording of the score will not count.
- N.F.D.A. rules will prevail for all darts thrown. The foul line rule will be strictly enforced. A player must have both feet behind the front edge of the foul line for each throw. Violation of this rule will result in the darts thrown being invalid.
- Any changes made to correct mistakes in scoring must be made prior to the recording of score by the next player of the team where the mistake has occurred, whether the mistake was in favor of or against the team. Obvious mistakes such as subtracting 50 from 501 and recording 251 may be corrected at any time during the game, as these are inadvertent errors which may go unobserved for a few turns.
- If a player throws out of turn, the opposing team has the option of having the round re-thrown by the correct player or allowing the round to stand. If the opposing team allows the round to stand, the player who was officially up will lose his/her next turn.
- If a chalker is being used, the chalker may only tell a player what score he/she has left, or what has been scored by the darts he/she has thrown. The chalker MAY NOT tell a player what numbers to throw at. It is the player’s responsibility to verify that the chalker has reported the score correctly. Any darts thrown at the wrong number due to a mistake in addition or subtraction by the chalker will stand as thrown.
- COACHING shall be ALLOWED. Any player may receive coaching for any teammate provided the player that is on the line prepared to throw steps off the throwing line to receive coaching. Any violation of this rule will result in the player who is receiving the coaching forfeiting that match.
ITEM VII PROTEST
- The captain of any team may file a protest for any irregularity of a match or violation of the rules. The opposing team captain must be notified at the time of the protest that the game and/or match from that point on is being played under protest. The match will then be played to conclusion unless a persons safety is in jeopardy or a person can no longer play. The protest must then be written down by both parties involved at the time of the incident. The League Director must be contacted within 24 hours and informed of the protest. The protest may then be filed in writing to the league director. The protest must also be recorded on the match report sheet and delivered to the secretary as usual. The protest will be decided by the League Officers and the Division Associate Directors and their decision is final. Should any of the officials be members of the teams involved in the protest, they will not be included in the decision making. If all officials are involved, a decision will be made by a majority rule of the team captains, excluding the teams involved.
ITEM VIII PERSONAL CONDUCT
- Heckling, harassment or distraction of players involved in a match is strictly forbidden. Anyone distracting other players or becoming intoxicated to a point where they cause a distraction to the other players will be asked to leave the establishment. No substitutions can be made for any remaining games in which this player is scheduled to shoot.
- Any league member accused of cheating during or after league play shall be dealt with as follows: The charges will first be reviewed by the league officers. If the officers cannot come to a unanimous decision on the matter the investigation will be turned over to the team captains for a decision.
NOTE: N.F.D.A. RULE

Guilt or innocence will be decided by a panel of six peers, presided over by the president of the N.F.D.A. The panel is charged with the responsibility of conducting a thorough and unbiased investigation into the matter before reaching a conclusion as to the guilt or innocence of the accused. The accused will be given the opportunity of defending himself/herself before the panel.
- Excessive profanity or offensive language will not be tolerated at any time. The offending party will be asked to control his/her language. If the party persists with the offensive behavior, he/she will be subject to disqualification from the event and/or reported to the management of the establishment for removal from the premises. The action to be taken will be at the discretion of the tournament director, association/league officers or the team captains present at the time.

ITEM XI GAME RULES
- Rules for all 401, 501 and 701:
The object of the game is to score exactly 401 or 501 points, finishing on a double. To start in on a game of 701, a double of any number must be thrown in order to begin scoring. All darts thrown after the double will count for score. To finish, a double must be hit which exactly equals the number of points needed to go out. The double bull’s eye may be used to start or finish the game.
(example: A player hits a double, then continues to score in turn until he now has to get 36 points to make exactly 301. He must hit a double 18 to go out and win. If he hits a single 18 he will have scored 18 points, leaving him 18 more points to get, or a double 9, etc.)
Darts that miss the scoring surface do not count. If a player scores one more point or one less point than the exact score needed to go out, he/she assumes the same score that he/she had prior to his/her turn.
Exactly 301 can be scored by using as few as six (6) darts.
The double ring is the outer narrow ring of the board. The double bull’s eye is the small inner circle of the bull’s eye.
The first points scored in a single (free) on game will not count toward the high on award.
- Rules for the game of Cricket:
American Cricket can be played by individuals or two person teams. For team play, only one member of a team thrown and has his/her score posted, then a member of the opposing team throws, etc. A popular short version of the game and the one used for league play is 20 through 15 plus the bull’s eye. The object of the game is to close all of the games innings before your opponent does. In order to win however, a player must also be ahead of his/her opponent in points in addition to closing all innings. If the score is tie, the first person to close all innings is the winner.
To close an inning, three hits must be scored on that particular number (one dart in the triple ring scores three, a double scores two, single scores one.) After a number is closed, all hits in that number scores the numerical value of that inning. Score can only be counted until the opponent closes the number by scoring three hits on that number. (example: A player throws three darts at the 20 and hits a total of two. His opponent hits five 20’s one triple, one double and one miss. This closes the 20’s for the opponent as well as scoring 40 points for the two additional hits on the 20. The opponent can continue to score on the 20’s until player one hits one more 20 to close them.)
Numbers do not need to be shot in rotation. A player may shoot for any number he/she chooses. In “call cricket”, the number which you are shooting at must be called first and only darts which hit the called number will count for score.
